Become a DREAMer

If you are a child (or parent) looking for a mentor:

Ever wondered what happens after those cars leave every Friday for DREAM? Do you stay awake at night trying to figure out how someone ever came up with those t-shirt colors? Or more importantly, are you interested in joining us?

DREAM is fun. And you have the chance to meet lots of new and interesting people and do a whole lot of new and exciting things. You may not be able to become a part of DREAM right away, but we will do our best to include you.

So, tell a current DREAM mentor or parent that you would like to be a part of DREAM. If you can find one of the above, contact DREAM's central office and we'll get you in touch with the proper people.

Whether you are a part of DREAM or not, you are ALWAYS welcome to participate in the community activities DREAM holds (like the BBQs and field days you may have seen already).

If you are a college student hoping to be a mentor:

DREAM is always on the lookout for motivated, passionate, and enthusiastic new mentors. It is a significant commitment that carries a lot of responsibility, but is that is rewarding beyond compare and a defining experience for everyone involved.

If you are interested in becoming a DREAMer and your school already has a local program here in Vermont, contact one of your local co-chairs or talk with any mentor involved. Or contact the Central Office if your school needs a local DREAM program and you want to help start one!

Summer Job

If you are a college student looking to be a DREAM Summer Intern or Camp Staffer:

**Are you interested in spending a rewarding and challenging summer with some amazing children?** We have paid positions for Summer Interns (D-Unit) to work with each of the DREAM communities and for Camp Staff to run Camp DREAM with the Office Camp Staff.

Summer Interns (D-Unit) work together to run all sorts of different events and activities with DREAMers and their families. We have an online Job Description and an Application. Check it out!

Camp Staffers live it up at Camp DREAM and spend the summer running camp (Camp Chef, Program Directors, and Waterfront Director!) and playing with DREAMers. We have online Job Description and an Application available.

DREAM is a revolutionary and inspirational organization that continually pushes itself, always improving its values, philosophies, and actions. It has positively changed the lives of hundreds of students, children, and other community members, and is reshaping the landscape of mentoring in New England.

In order to continue to improve itself, DREAM needs strong and capable leaders to set policy and be accountable to the DREAM parents, children, and mentors.

We are specifically looking for candidates with positive, can-do attitudes, who are team players and have an understanding of the communities we serve. You MUST love children, and have the time to participate fully on the Board.

DREAM is a group of parents, children, students, and other community members and organizations pooling resources in order to build a strong program in which the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

We are always looking for new and interesting ways to get people involved, and strategic partnerships to strengthen and expand the scope of services we offer.
