Summer Enrichment Program
DREAM’s Summer Enrichment Program takes place in each neighborhood with which we work. The program offers at least one day per week for youth to participate in local opportunities. Activities typically include taking youth to neighboring camps, service opportunities, and on field trips to local attractions. Youth also participate in arts and crafts and games in their own neighborhood.
The Summer Enrichment Program helps bridge the gap that the summer can leave for a mentee’s school-year DREAM experience. Activities vary and rely largely on the surrounding community and the resources available. Where available, DREAM helps facilitate summer food programs for the youth in our partner neighborhoods.
Our summer program typically starts within two weeks of the end of the public school year and operates until the first or second week in August.
