The Vermont Housing and Conservation Board (VHCB) has awarded DREAM a $100,000 grant to purchase the 50-acre property in Fletcher, Vermont on which DREAM will create its summer camp. DREAM will own the property, and VHCB and the Vermont Land Trust will jointly hold a conservation easement on the land. This will allow us to build our dining hall, field, waterfront and camp sites, but will conserve the rest of the land forever. The easement will also require us to allow public access to our trails, waterfront and facilities during non-summer months. It's a big win-win situation for us, the town, and the state!
