Sixty Five Mentors Rally for Third Annual DREAMStock

"Don't get jealous when you see me this week smiling from satisfaction and exuberance," said Anne Kasitaza, summing up her weekend at DREAMStock. A junior at Dartmouth College, Kasitaza joined 65 other DREAM mentors from five colleges at the annual mentor retreat this weekend at Camp DREAM in Fletcher.

Arriving Saturday afternoon, mentors worked on a tree house and improved trails at the
camp their kids attend each summer and winter. Matt Dunne, candidate for Lt. Governor, came by to help out on the tree house and followed the work with a talk on service politics.

Mentors worked in groups Saturday night and Sunday morning planning events for the year
and discussing getting kids into college, fundraising, and community development. "I had a lot of fun! I would like to spend more time with [mentors from other programs] to get a better feel for their strategies," said one mentor from Castleton State College.
