Build the most powerful “Developmental Relationships” possible
Time & Location
About the Event
Developmental relationships are the roots of young people’s success. They are essential for all young people, in every community. When young people experience these relationships in their families, schools, programs, and communities, they are more likely to be resilient in the face of challenges and grow up thriving. Through developmental relationships, young people Discover who they are; Cultivate the abilities needed for them to shape their own lives; and Learn how to engage with and contribute to the world around them.
Come learn from internationally renowned Search Institute about the five components of their Developmental Relationship model (expressing care, providing support, sharing power, challenging growth and expanding possibilities) and how to translate those components to your mentoring activities.
Facilitator: The Search Institute is a nonprofit organization that studies and works to strengthen youth success in schools, coalitions, youth and family organizations, and the faith community. Throughout their 60-year history, they have focused on improving the outcomes and success of youth.
