Elise Oshlag (They/Them)

Camp Director
Originally from Massachusetts, Elise has found their true happy place here in the Green Mountains. As the Camp Director, Elise strives to create an inclusive, loving, spirited, and safe camp environment for youth and adults. Elise embodies the “camp personality” and loves to have fun. You can find them on the ropes course, canoeing on Metcalf Pond, or teaching fire building and wilderness skills. In their free time Elise loves to ski, hike, spend quality time with loved ones, play with their dog Fletcher, and make some delicious quesadillas! Elise’s favorite thing about camp is getting to sleep outside.

What is it like to work at camp?

Working at Camp DREAM is an experience that will impact you in ways you never thought it would. (Mahri)
To be a staff member at Camp DREAM over the summer is unlike any other experience. Camp has a whimsical energy to it, and it’s like time warps when you are there. If you spend your days here, it will feel like you are surrounded by inclusivity, compassion, fun, fulfillment, and most importantly love. Camp is a place for everyone and anyone to belong, and it does just that. Doesn’t that sound magical? (Chloe)

Am I allowed to bring a car?

Yes, you may bring a personal vehicle to camp. It is not required to have a car, but we do have on site parking if you wish to bring a car. There are no shops or stores within walking distance from camp, so some counselors prefer to have their car for transportation on the weekends.

DREAM

The DREAM Program INC. is a 501(c)(3) service organization established in the winter of 1998 and developed as a nonprofit in 2001. Its goal is to bring high quality mentoring and activities to at-promise youth through Summer Enrichment, Afterschool Enrichment , Village Mentoring, Guided Mentoring, Camp DREAM and Adventures Unlimited.
