Almost half of the achievement gap can be attributed to a lack of enrichment opportunities over the summer. This phenomenon is known as the Summer Slide. To prevent this, DREAM offers daily summer programming within the community along with Camp DREAM. Our Summer AmeriCorps Members work to stop the summer slide through education and mentorship in the form of fun activities and engagement.

This program also includes connecting teens to future-oriented resources and programming to guide them toward high school graduation, positive life after high school, college and or career readiness. Older teens have the opportunity to explore colleges in their area by participating in DREAM's annual College Road Trip.
