This past Friday kicked off the first of many DREAM Friday activities at our Philadelphia region’s Beckett Gardens site. Led by Youth Service Manager, Sariyah Andrews, youth enrolled in the program enjoyed a kick-off day filled with fun fall activities perfect to celebrate the season!
To start off the activity session, our youth filled the main room that had been generously decorated by both Beckett and DREAM staff for the fall season. The room welcomes all to a fun afternoon, including seasonal foliage surrounding the walls and board. The first activity provided a starter snack to youth, and each of them was provided with fresh apples, peanut butter, and apple cider that they all enjoyed while practicing important concepts of sharing and teamwork.
After this snack session concluded, the youth were then led outdoors for back-to-back rounds of football, hula hooping, and mini relay races!
